This offside call was no where near tight. Flag should have been up immidiately
Play restarted with an IDFK to Saudi Arabia...for offside.
It was a delayed flag.
i admit I never saw. A flag, or referee raised hand or the ball anywhere near the offside offence.
He confused the studio with that remark too, Ian Wright correctly asked, isn't that a dive? (simulation)Am sorry, I would sprinkle rose petals on the ground for Mark Clattenburg but he just classed the pk appeal as initiated contact, which, for me, is defined by, "pretending to be fouled", which in turn, esp in the pen box, has to be a caution??
am lost already
if the very top guys cant make it clear to someone like me who likes to think I have a rough understanding of whats going on, then what chance does the man on the street have of getting it?
Reading too much into a simple comment to explain why it wasn't a foul.
You can be a top referee but it doesn't make you a good communicator or a good pundit on TV. If you try to talk in the language of a referee, then you'll come across very poorly on TV.
Wouldn't be the first time this forum as read too much into a simple comment recently.
He is the head of refs in Saudi? As Foy was in America?
I would think both have excellent communicatin skills?
First application showed those fears weren’t unfounded.
