My county FA has recently lost their RDO to a role within the National FA.
I've now learned that the county FA aren't looking to recruit a replacement RDO and are instead looking to merge it with another role and have hired someone with no refereeing knowledge or experience.
Do any other county...
I've been struggling with fitness over pre season, specifically the 15/22 interval test.
Everytime I start running on a track I get about 2 laps round and both calves tighten up to point I'm struggling to walk. It's the exact same location on both calves each time.
Has anyone else suffered...
Has anyone been on a selection day for promotion previously?
What does the day entail?
No invites have gone out yet but I think I'm in with a chance and would like to be prepared!
We had this question pop up on our monthly LOTG tests for L4's and I'm interested in others opinions.
The FA are adamant it should be a caution for unsporting conduct but I don't see how this is support able with the way the laws are written.
My view is that Law 8.2 states the dropball should...
Had this occur in my game on Saturday.
Step 6 game down in Cornwall and the AR for that side was BRAND new and never run the line before. Flag didn't go up, pre match instructions were to wait for the ball to be played by the attacker.
Red defender was already on a caution.
Bit of discussion...
This happened in a Senior County Cup game mid week down in Cornwall.
What's your decision in terms of offence, sanction and restart of play?

Over the last 12 months I've found refereeing becoming more and more unenjoyable. I've had some struggles with mental health that have been exacerbated by ever declining participant behaviour.
It's now reached the stage where I've formally stepped away from refereeing step 5/6 football for the...
I had a game on Wednesday night and after about 60mins both calves started to cramp up whenever I tried to sprint.
Got through the remaining 30mins and 10mins of stoppages 😒.
Thursday wasn't too bad, the usual aches and pains after a game just about 10% more painful.
However, Friday and this...
82nd minute in a step 3 game. Hornchurch 2-1 up.
This is ruled out for offside.
2 managers dismissed for arguing the point.
85th minute Horsham score the equaliser.
90th minute Horsham score the winner to make it 3-2.

I’ve seen it all now! Utterly repulsive behaviour from a ‘fan’.
I’ve been struggling so far this season with suspected tendonitis in my Achilles.
Has anyone else ever had the same and if so how did you treat it?
I’m resting as much as my fixture schedule will allow and icing the tendon after a game but it still bothers me for a few days after each match...
I’ve been given a game that initially had no NAR’s but have, at the last minute, been appointed just one NAR.
I planned to keep the NAR on the dugout side and then have each team provide a CAR for 45 minutes each.
Has anyone had similar in the past and how did you find it? Any tips?
Had a game on Tuesday where I’d dropped down to the local junior league to help out as I was working locally.
Game generally went ok until a decision in the 2nd half led to 2 sin bins and a red to the away team manager.
As soon as the final whistle goes I’m confronted by the remaining coach...
I’ve just got home after a step 7 league cup semi final between 2 sides with vastly contrasting styles.
It’s very rare that I come off a pitch and wished I hadn’t bothered but this evening was one of the least enjoyable games I’ve had in my 4 years of reffing.
One side is all young lads, well...
I’m sure there’s a thread about this somewhere but I can’t find it!
If a team is reduced to less than the minimum 7 players, but 1 or more of those dismissed is a temporary dismissal, do we continue or abandon?
The question was raised at half time during my game today and I couldn’t find the...
