Damaged goal posts

Refereed a game today in my local Step 7 league and noticed in my pre match checks that the bottom of one of the goal posts was damaged.
Nothing sharp or dangerous but the post had been dented and knocked out of shape. This could have effected the path of the ball had it struck the post in this spot.

What are people's thoughts on this?

Point it out to both clubs so they are aware of it. If either of them are unhappy about it you'd need to have a sensible discussion, but realistically they would just shrug it off.
 
Suggestions:
1. Check whether replacement goal available (e. g., in my local park, coaches can access the chained up spares)
2. If not, alternative pitch available?
3. If no alternatives, advise both coaches and seek their OK to play the game despite the damaged bit
4. Crack on!
5. Report to the competition in case anyone complains later, and so they sort it before next week's game
Well done on spotting it pre-match!
 
This sounds very much similar to what to do if one or more corner flags are missing. In that case the laws say they are mandatory but also say the spirit of the game dictates at grassroots we can play without them.

Slightly unshaped base of one goal post is a much easier 'play on' decision at grassroots. It's the same for both teams in other hlaves.
