I was fine with the pk call simply not being a pk end of
And now am left thinking if I was referee with Clattenburg as obsever/mentor whatever, He deems it to be simulation!

Of course. If you're a referee TV pundit your options are

1) Explain it clearly in simple language (preferred)
2) Explain it clearly in complex LOTG language (not as good)
3) Explain it poorly in simple language (what Clatts did)
 
I recall years back, radio Clyde in Scotland had ex refs in studio explaining things, correctly.
Lasted about four weeks as the listeners were not interested in hearing the facts!
 
Meanwhile, top rugby refs often appear on tv for discussions about decisions, they're respected and explain things clearly. Imagine Jon Moss on sky sports talking about past decisions.

I find his positioning in general play is too Central and sometimes in the middle of the crowd of players around the PA But no clangers so far.

From what we heard to Jon Moss during the Spurs/Liverpool match, I'd rather not.

Given Bobby Madleys refusal to give him the time of day at Anfield last season, I think BBC Alba repeat of last Tuesdays weather forecast might get more viewers
 
You have to appreciate rugby refs who have to explain their decisions in real time on the mic

That was just strange. Not even a yellow card was even stranger.

The fact that there wasn't even a noticible delay with the VAR checking the 4th goal shows the improved efficiency compared to the England trials.

The difference with the World Cup format is they have 4 VARs plus the video technicians plus an overall supervisor, so it is much more efficient.

 
Didn’t see the game so can’t comment never gonna be a test was it really with those two.

Will be looking forward to Ramos Ronaldo Costa & co tomoz night, Rocchi will be earning his bacon that’s for sure.

P.s did they show any footage of the lads fully kited up in the booth?
