You just know the referee would of got hammered if he produced a second yellow card there and all the headlines would of been about him. You just don't know but maybe the Anthony Taylor stuff maybe played a part also. Referees on here may not like it but in finals there is an element that they have to be refereed differently because of the occasion. Also if it's apparently his last ever game then why would he care too much about applying the law to the letter on the more frivioulous stuff like over celebration, would just cause more problems for yourself.

Seriously though, how do you Referee a game in which the participants are not discouraged from cheating and in which our Senior Colleagues are instructed to selectively ignore mandatory Law? The overall standard of Refereeing will remain poor as long as our pro colleagues are forbidden from refereeing the way that they should

I thought there should have been under two added minutes and there were over three. There were many chances to end the game in a neutral area. To me it seemed odd.
ridiculous. If they want to operate a proper RESPECT programme they could do it overnight. 1 season ban, or even double the ban for a 2nd offence, double again for a 3rd etc
