Yeah, the terminology can be a bit confusing. I see more and more people referring to SFP as 'reckless' on forums thesedays.

Dermot on SSN saying the Young/Aguero incident was definitely a penalty but the fact "he touched/got the ball" gives the referee a get out so it's a penalty and yellow not a red. Interesting because Dermot's been on SSN loads of time before stating that exact sort of challenge and sometimes less than that is a sending off offence.

A bit boring in my opinion. If he's going to lie or try and spin/misguide viewers there's no point of him being on at all and does nothing for the credibility of referees in general. You can defend the referee during real time if you like, but to watch it back on a number of replays and state that it's a yellow is just dishonest.
 
Enough with the spurious accusations and bias posts. This thread is locked as it is being driven off course by posts pushing an entirely alternative agenda.

Consider what you are posting and who is likely to be reading. Referees have been charged by their CFAs for similar posts before. Similar posts in future will be deleted with the posters warned or banned
