And also from an earlier post, if the goalkeeper does move before the kick is taken and there is an impact (saves etc), it would not be expected for the AR to raise his flag (thereby drawing attention to himself), but to remain in his position and/or if buzzer flags are being used, to alert the Referee by this method (games involving VAR are excluded from this reply).Just going to point out that the AR does need to see the PK taker because they need to know when the kick is taken to make the judgement of the GKs position, not too dissimilar from an offside judgment.
