I don't think the response is particularly suspicious. "Surely the league must have marks", was my immediate thought too.
However, I'm also a bit suspicious of first posts of this nature.
Could it not be a foul, but fail on one (or more) of the DOGSO criteria?
For example it was a foul, but didn't believe he had reasonable control of the ball before covering a defender would have got back?
Generally you signal for your half and mirror the referee for the other half so that the fans know.
The ref should give you a full briefing beforehand to indicate when they would like you to lead/follow. They will probably refer to this as 'your area of credibility'.

Where did those terms come from? I really like them and I'm definitely going to use them to explain to players when they question why one action gets a card and another doesn't.

The drop offence codes appear once you have selected C1 offence. They are all still there, but SPA isn't a code. You need to decide the offence that caused it to be SPA - usually a pull, trip, foul tackle I tend to find.
Has anyone ever bought any of these and would you recommend?
