I have to say. Bit of a feisty u18 match today.
First half said player deliberately threw the ball at another players head from a throw in. Was so obvious although obviously he claimed innocence. I booked him for that.

Then on 88th minute said player goes in for a tackle with a jump off the ground lunge and studs out. I deemed it reckless and endangers his opponent. Cue the he got the ball ref by everyone including the coaches. I gave him a second yellow.

How has it not sunk in that getting the ball doesn’t mean you can risk serious injury to the player?
“Well that’s a matter of opinion”.

Obviously all the refs on the pitch from his side said you could have managed it by not sending him off. I’m just not having that in this case.

Be careful with your terminology when explaining decisions - reckless would be a yellow, endangering the opponent would be a red.

Must be something in the air today.
2nd match and another red card I. The 88th minute. Stupid one. Bad tackle and seriously it was orange. I decided on a yellow for a foul tackle and the kid walks shouts his name at me and walks away. I tell him to come back and he mocks me. So I give him a yellow for a tackle and a yellow for dissent. Stupid.

His team mates turn to me and say not surprising. He got one last week red!

I need to work on my terminology and I know it’s important.

On the new ref system it’s harder to pin down what to put everything down as.
SPA ? Shirt pull. All used to have drop down menus and now it doesn’t.

The drop offence codes appear once you have selected C1 offence. They are all still there, but SPA isn't a code. You need to decide the offence that caused it to be SPA - usually a pull, trip, foul tackle I tend to find.
