On field only real taking point so far is the Gravenberch red card.

I can understand pundit position, as when taken in isolation the challenges aren’t necessarily a caution.

But that ignores the broader context, the second caution especially. That’s a nailed on breaking up a promising attack caution. Challenging from behind with no prospect of playing the ball. And already walking the tightrope, that’s taking an unnecessary risk.

Players eh?

Silly punditry saying it's soft IMO. As you say, It was a classic promising attack caution

I thought it was the correct decision aswell, Doku was breaking forward and it was a cynical trip.

No doubt we will hear comments the red card ruined the game but it was not the best game before that and Liverpool have played very poorly with 10 men unlike their opponents when they were down to 10 men against United.

I've been trying to explain to my Liverpool supporting mates, once Kavanagh decides to give the free kick there could only be one outcome. If you are on a caution and you make that challenge you have to win the ball, if you don't you are walking.

The first yellow on Anderson was very harsh, and Doku like Anderson made a bit of meal of it. Not sure why Anderson wasn't cautioned for holding onto the ball in the 1st half?
