Interesting red for Antony here, looks to be little contact but my first reaction was red.
Help keep RefChat running, any donation would be appreciated
Agree. Likelihood is he is going yellow and assistant referee is screaming red down the Comms.2) It's not a great look for a referee to run over with his yellow in one hand and then shock everyone by showing the red with the other hand (unless of course issuing a second caution)
Not saying it's the case here, but something I've seen with the non - FIFA refs in Spain is that they keep both cards and a notepad in one chest pocket. Incredibly confusing at times.Agree. Likelihood is he is going yellow and assistant referee is screaming red down the Comms.
No way there’s enough for to be violent conduct. It merely being off the ball isn’t enough to be excessive force. Willie Collum basically covered this when talking about an incident on the Scottish VAR showMaking a footballing action just to hurt someone is just a way of trying to hide violent conduct.
Like driving your car into someone and claiming you're just popping to the shops.
If I stand next to a player, and as he kicks the ball away I swing my foot at him but pull out at the last minute or slow down to make minimal contact. Justify showing me a yellow card plzNo way there’s enough for to be violent conduct. It merely being off the ball isn’t enough to be excessive force.
