So, added time - was it a foul on Raya?

I think so, as the West Ham player was holding Raya before the challenge, so prefect decision by VAR.

Arsenal glasses firmly put away for a second, I think it was a foul, very brave decision to actually give it

Was a foul on the GK.
The absolute chaos in the box of about 3 different attackers being fouled was a good representation of the madness that the PGMOL have allowed this season.
Absolute farce.

It was a foul/s for me. Not much to debate. For once, I think VAR worked. Showed the referee the angle he did not see, and let him make a decision

I think it's a foul but not sure if it's a clear and obvious error, I'm not totally convinced the arm across makes the keeper drop the ball but he probably was impeded.

If there is another episode of mic'd up, then this definately will be shown and in fairness from mostly what I can see, most people do think it's a foul and VAR was right to intervene.

You do have two players fouling him, shirt pull and arm across the neck which wasn’t a football action but deliberately impeding (self declaration ex GK!)

Also Declan Rice was lucky, why was he defending like that, asking for trouble.

My only problem with this is that the corner should never have been allowed to be taken with the amount of holding going on.
PGMO has really made a problem for itself in this incident with its approach to holding.

probably a foul but zero consistency across this season. this thread is going to turn into a fans forum in 3...2...1...
Trust me it isn’t, as anyone doing that will be having a 14 day rest 😂

I’m not convinced the arm across the body is a foul, but the pull of the arm definitely is. But unless I missed it they didn’t show Kavanagh that angle so he was going purely on the arm across the chest.

I thought that too (angle).
Its going to be the case that there is zero point in corners as anytime a keeper is challenged its a foul.
That happens on attackers and nothing is given.
Plenty of examples (such as in the very same incident of Rice with arms around the WHU player) where holding and pulling happens and its ignored as "its expected".

Seeing another replay and Raya's shirt was clearly pulled aswell, not sure if the VAR noticed that but coupled that with the arm around the chest/neck means it probably is enough to give it as a foul via a review.

I still have doubts it affected the keeper from catching the ball though, I think it's just dropped out of his hands which can happen at any time.

Dont think he was shown that replay though.

Here is an angle just before this happened, like a second or so...
The Arsenal player is literally bear hugging Todibo from properly challenging for it that could in part be a cause for the next incident of arm across/shirt tug as he was now off balance.

As I look more at this photo, you can actually see Raya using both of his hands to push his way in to position before jumping.

Right at the start, isn't Raya pushing a West Ham player just to get near the ball?

Definite foul on Raya. You could see how his arms were being pushed down. The pundits later said that there were actually lots of fouls going on there. tbh in the chaos of the moment, even on the slowmo, I couldn't tell what other ones they were referring to.
