The Ref Stop

Real Madrid vs Real Betis

The Ref Stop
There is a way of interpreting that which suggests he is wrong too.
Feet OR any body part touching the ground could imply that the feet don’t need to be touching the ground to be considered

Interesting training piece.

Works with VAR, but in all other football, you would expect this to be judged encroachment? Just on body position.

IFAB is a massive contributor to making the role of refereeing an impossible challenge. Football is a very strange game. We all have our merit assessed against a chaotic and cryptic book, with various other fragmented sources of clarification reverberating around the global game.
It can undermine the concept of 'merit'

Anyway, it's bloody obvious this IFAB post could be made a good deal clearer. I've always said it, but definitions are the starting point of any 'Law'

@Big Cat Fairly recent change. A few years ago a deliberate handball wasn't classed as a deliberate play for the purposes of offside.
