Not sure I agree they weren't fouls. Agree Berghuis apoplectic, but that's been his whole time on the pitch3 imaginary fouls against NED in a row. Especially Beurguis must be apoplectic.

Even so and I understand it’s a difficult game but his attitude and body language do not help the management of the game. Going back to the conversations on Michael Oliver, a calming presence in the middle can go a long way if you’re trying not use redsI think Lahoz is fighting a battle he cant win, theres too many expectations on him now, and hes never gonna find this easy, both teams should incur heavy fines imo, off the back of their conduct
Yeah fair point, and I take it, but I feel like with he cautions hes shown, people are very quick to discredit the difficulty of this game (not you, but more talking fans and commentary)Even so and I understand it’s a difficult game but his attitude and body language do not help the management of the game. Can't knock it for entertainmentWhat a game of football...
I am not enjoying how Lahuz is being portrayed here. It reads like he dosn't know how to referee. Anyone here has tried swimming with their hands tied behind their back? He is in a position of dammed if you do dammed if you don't. Yes he didn't do this and he didn't do that. From the games we have had so far this has been clearly the most difficult. No one knows how any other referee in his position would have done. Anyone remembers Webb only yellow carding a studs up karate kick to the chest?
Ake in the box really? Not sure I agree they weren't fouls. Agree Berghuis apoplectic, but that's been his whole time on the pitch
Exactly. Looking tough, running around blasting the whistle, having a low bar for yellows and trying to be generally intimidating is all well and good, but once you start becoming visibly reluctant to give reds and second yellows it becomes a very obvious bluff.Even so and I understand it’s a difficult game but his attitude and body language do not help the management of the game. And then tried to backtrack when he saw the replay. Utter clownKeown calling that a clean tackle ...
Suppose it depends what 'the last there's were and at what time. There were a lotAke in the box really?
The midfield dive given against Berghuuuus?
You can have the third as I can’t remember it!
Not if the press are on their back, I hope it backfires in a way to be honest, I don't like this 'keep them on directive'But will FIFA be happy that he got through the game with no bloodshed and still 11 v 11.
Apart from one game, NED been awful all tournament.NED didn’t look like a WC semi team. But Arg needed a helping hand.
Lahoz with a tough game to manage but did his best. Don’t know any other referee who would have managed it any better.
