Social media has got more than one referee in hot water. I use it for harmless banter, and not for serious issues regarding referees.

I genuinely don't see what I've said there that could get me in bother. I do take the point of better safe than sorry!

I don't think you have, but it opens a door to the possibility if the comments take a turn for the worse.

Imagine two players/coaches etc get involved in a barny in the comments and its referred to the CFA. You become involved by proxy and are hauled in to explain your actions.

Not worth the grief!

Is it any wonder that the FA loses referees, why should referees at grassroots fear someone who doesn't even give anything back in return for their obedience? Former referees don't even get reprimanded despite preceding over fraud in the RA and making racist jokes.
