I’m still intrigued if the 4th Official is culpable in letting a non-named sub on to the field?

I’m still intrigued if the 4th Official is culpable in letting a non-named sub on to the field?

I believe RustyRef commented on this issue a week or so ago & said that it is practice on the EFL for just numbers to be taken (I could be wrong), so if this has been the case, then it would not be appropriate to penalise the 4th official when everyone has been doing it. However, in light of the Swindon incident, I wouldn’t be surprised if the practice isn’t changed to name & numbers.

That was the point 4th official allowed player 23 on to the pitch when he wasn’t on the team sheet as a sub. The difference in Elite football is the subs will have their own squad number.
