Is fitbit gps? I find non gps to be grossly innaccurate. I had a samsung gear before my polar and I kid u not I could hit 13-14k without working too hard. It struggled to recognise difference between running, jogging, walking, crabbing and Clocked distance at a set stride length per step. Since I got my polar I get much more accurate readings. I've never had a fitbit before so I cant speak for its accuracy but Id be surprised, in fact, impressed at anyone hitting 14 km in a game.had a FITBIT for my first few games (before it packed in) and i was doing 12-14k, far far too much running around a little headless to be honest... trimmed that down to 9-11k lowest i think i have been is 8.5k
Is that a week or match?i was doing 12-14k

Back to the OP it all depends on the level. Without NARs I can do in excess of 10 working hard to be in credible positions. Additional distances created by positioning at corners and throw ins as I am further down field as a starting position. With NARs again standard dependent usually between 8-9km maybe a little more.
Don't be telling me that I will have to run around with a metre stick now...wonder where I could put the handle? It's not, and you're right, it's very inaccurate. I've worn both at the same time and the fitbit was miles off.
Most GPS are not very accurate either unless you're running in a straight line or spending several seconds in each new position. Even tested round a 400m track they tend to under read.
miles

Well done you mate for not giving up...I know a few refs who run around 20k a game..........oops sorry I meant 20 metres from one edge of the centre circle to the other!haha, well i'm happy to be doing anything at all after a specialist 'advised' me that i wouldnt be able to run at all a few years back
Yes but we do it quite often, at least three times each half.......Well done you mate for not giving up...I know a few refs who run around 20k a game..........oops sorry I meant 20 metres from one edge of the centre circle to the other!
Yes I do and I appear to have an aversion to the last 10 yards towards the corners unless something exciting is happening!Yes but we do it quite often, at least three times each half.......
On another note have you ever looked at the GPS plot of your match and seen how much of the pitch you actually covered?
I have.........
