When i refereed back down South in the Berks & Bucks League, i had a match just across the road from me in a local park which was some 200 yards from the River Thames and one Sunday when i went to do the pitch inspection the side nearest the river ( still some 200 yards away) was covered in Geese poo, absolutely covering the pitch yukky goo, luckily the pitch next door wasn't being used so we played on that.
