I think I've had a really good season! Highlight of my season was probably running the line in a county semi-cup final! Post season (in about 3 weeks time) I may have the opportunity to be one of Howard Webb's linesman for a match, so I hope I get given that! Overall, great season.
Very true! In my local area, not sure about anyone else, but the season is coming to an end so everyone is trying to catch up with as many fixtures as they can! So I've been appointed a few of them but I've also offered to help out as much as I can!
Had a game yesterday, and one this evening. Both of which went extremely well with no problems! :D
Got another game tomorrow, two on Saturday and one on Sunday, so 6 games this week in total! I'm gonna be knackered by the end of the week:oops:
But I was just curious to know, what's the most...
Thank you guys for your opinions! Thinking about it more now, I think I should have issued a red... :( Looking back at it more, it really is a malicious thing to say, but thank you for your views on it!
Match today at 2:15pm.
Blue v Purple. (U14 age group). Both teams in the top division of their age and Blue is 3rd, Purple is 1st. So obviously the game was going to be a feisty! It started off okay, with strong tackles from both sides and they were fair. I gave free kicks where it was...
After a long Christmas break, I've managed to get my refereeing up and running again with my first fixture tomorrow! After such a long break, I'm actually feeling a bit nervous :( (Plus it didn't help when the manager text me saying 'It'll be a big test for you;)). Anyway, do any of you still...
Green v Blue. Blue team has a goal kick. Keeper kicks the ball to a player in his penalty area. So it's touched another player before leaving the penalty area. I gave an indirect free kick:oops: Knew it was the wrong decision after I gave it! No goals or advantage came from it! Just to confirm...
I referee in a Woman's League, in Lincolnshire, we have a team called Lincolnshire FA Centre of Excellence, and we have teams such as Leicster, Sheffield United, Norwich, Arsenal etc come play us. They do age groups; U11,13,15, 17 & 21. I tend to find them a lot easier to ref then the men ;)
Nike 2013/14 Kit, Nike 2014/15 Tracksuit, Adidas Boots, Nike Tiempo Trainers, Wallet, 3 x Yellow and Red Cards, 3 x Pencils, 1 x Pen, 3 watches; 1 x Fox Classic, 2 x Acme Thunderer, 3 x 2p coin, CAR flags, copy of the LOTG :D
Had my first game of the season today! It went really well, no hard decisions to make and the game run really smoothly:D
On that note, how was everyone's first game of the season? :)
They have fines like the FA do. £10 for Yellow and £15 for Red I believe.
I do ref Sunday League as well, I've got my seasons first fixture next Sunday!:)
Hi there guys,
I started reffing Leisure Leagues last Thursday as I really enjoy refereeing. However, this is the first sort of Open Age football I've reffed before. I only reffed one game on Thursday, both teams had players of around 30 years old, so a lot older than me at 16. Every decision I...
