I didn’t see the end of the game but I saw the end of the first half. I do think Celtic’s penalty was correctly awarded, but it did look very much like a guess from the way it was awarded 😆 just my take!
There are still automatic promotions.
2-1 doesn't have assessment day this season. Nobody was promoted mid season and I'm led to believe that it will just be a selection of those performing highest.
4-3 and 3-2 still have automatic promotion spaces, but less than there would normally be...
Is there any precedent for teams having successful appeals? If there is, I don't remember it.
Crazy how far the NL North stretches down south, but that's nothing new and is clearly owing to how many Southern step 2 teams there are.
I don't think anyone knows, even the FA, at the moment, but my best guess would be that it'll perhaps be on Friday 29th May, which is when the level 4-3 and 3-2 assessment days have been held and the FA can send a list out of everything in one go.
I'm gonna oppose this viewpoint.
While I do acknowledge that the touchline flags are far better made than their competitors, I actually find it hard to press the button when I need to sometimes. (I'm aware that may make me sound weak as p*ss)
I do agree about the signal.
I haven't used captains only protocol as such. Because there's no way for people to know before the get to me, by which time I just then tell them to go away, as opposed to saying 'captains only'... it does the same job. But using a widely known signal before...
Last season, my last game of the season shows a club mark of 78.0 and when you click on the form it says under additional information 'average mark entered by The FA'.
First time I've been referred to so politely in my refereeing career, but yes. Legal right to a subject access request does not mean you won't end up annoying someone who may have a say in your progression. 😆
I believe Leicestershire are currently without an RDO, so that might cause you a couple of issues short term, but if you send the email and if you don't hear anything, follow it up in a few weeks, then hopefully you'll hear back
Whilst I understand the point you're making, I also think the club marking range is far too wild for it to bear any meaningful weight in promotion/reclassification decisions.
There are clubs I go to where I know no matter what happens, I'm pretty much guaranteed 80 as a minimum, and others I go...
I was wondering, and would be great if anyone knew...
I don't hate running the line, I'd rather do it than be 4th official, and if I don't ever progress as a referee I'm in no hurry to shut down the option to progress as AR... but....
If I did specialise... would I get more middles at step3/4...
I don't understand why this is happening so much currently. I think Bassey's reaction (or lack thereof) probably saved the need for VAR to further scrutinise it.
