    EA Sports

Will EA accurately model PL referees for FIFA 2015 on the back of this? (If they do already apologies, last time I owned a game of FIFA it was '97 with the indoor mode)

    How are the pitches looking?

As I (subsequently) thought. Cheers Dan for the answer. Head will be kept firmly down from now on.

    How are the pitches looking?

Going to throw this in here for advise/criticism. On Saturday I got a call from the general manager of my local (Conf South) team of who I'm a season ticket holder. He knows I'm a referee and often asks how I'm getting along when we bump into each other at matches. Our first teams game was...

    Jerome Champagne

Wasn't the 'sin bin' discussed on the RW Podcast the other week? In my opinion it would be fine for higher level matches (those with a 4th official, Conference Prem and higher) but it would be nigh on impossible to police at grassroots on a Sunday morning.

    Vidic red card

Vidic was hard done by, Rafael was lucky.

    This weekend, what you got?

Supposed to have a County Cup 1/4 final on Sunday. Not hopeful at all, but it would be nice to get a first game of the year in.

Dutch Referee Blog - Björn Kuipers’ 2013 in 3 important matches

Excellent blog and and even better call from the AR. Took me a couple of watches to see why he'd given the offside but its clear as day.

    How are the pitches looking?

Most of my leagues games on Sunday have been binned. Not hopeful for tomorrow either with the forecast overnight temperatures.

    Refereeing gifts?

I got a Garmin Forerunner 610 with HRM. All I need is the injury to clear up so I can get out and give it a try.

    Stoke vs. Man Utd

I'm going to take a guess its because the competition is the (football) League Cup?

    First injury as a referee

Cheers guys. Rest it I shall do. Lesson very much learned for the future.

    First injury as a referee

Absolutely gutted and quite annoyed with myself. Last weekend had a county cup game. It kicked off late due to ET being played on the pitch beforehand and for whatever reason I didn't warm up properly. About 10 mins from the end I felt a bit of a tweek in my thigh but carried on and finished...

Match abandoned due to stand in ref having a few drinks...

They already have done and by some twist of fate Altringham won two nil, with exactly the same scorers as in the original game. Colwyn had a man sent off so have come out of it even worse than if they had allowed the first game to complete.

    Red or Yellow?

So whats the restart then? (I'm having a mare with myself trying to get it right, is it as simple as it seems?)

    Cautioning

From speaking to other refs, that was them being well behaved

    Cautioning

I'm one of those who writes out names and numbers on my match card. When cautioning I ask the players name and then mark the offence and time against his name. Works for me and the match card I use. Re the post above and just asking players surname. I don't know about your leagues but round...

Do you ALWAYS check your pitch markings?

I'm pretty sure its this place just a bit north of Denham in Buckinghamshire. Probably a tad far out of your area just to come for a nosey round :)
