    LIV v MCI

Would have been a 2nd yellow for USB had they cautioned him for the pull back.

    County RDO'S

My county FA has recently lost their RDO to a role within the National FA. I've now learned that the county FA aren't looking to recruit a replacement RDO and are instead looking to merge it with another role and have hired someone with no refereeing knowledge or experience. Do any other county...

    Veo Footage

I usually ask the manager and would say it's rare I dont get a copy of the footage. If the game has gone well then they're usually happy to chat and send a link. If the game hasn't gone well then I frame the request as wanting to take another look to see the contentious decisions and what I...

Ref halts game for 10 mins for spectator abuse to assistant

Yes, but a 3W could still be a L5/6/7 in the men's game and therefore be AR on a Step 6 fixture.

    Substitute sin-bins

The player sent to the sin bin cannot be replaced until their 10 minutes is up. However, a substitute that is cautioned for dissent can be bought on whenever the manager wishes as their dissent is not punished with any kind of sin bin.

    IFAB Q and A

Assuming you don't blow your whistle until the ball enters the goal, I'd drop it to the keeper. Play is stopped once the ball enters the goal, so closest position of the ball would be 99% over the goal line and therefore within the penalty area.

    Quick question

I believe it's Level 4 for any middles in the earliest rounds. Last game I had was a few years ago and I have a L5 and L6 as my AR's.

Turns out I have Tibialis Posterior Tendonitis Makes my leg wonky when I run and causes pain during HI runs!

    Tight calf muscles - help!

I thought about it being a muscle tear/strain but it's in both calves at the same point each time I train. It's possible but I'd be extremely unlucky to have a tear in both calves at the same time!

    Tight calf muscles - help!

Physio booked for next week. Spoke to the Referee Manager and there are back up tests in September too incase it's not sorted in time for August.

    Tight calf muscles - help!

I've been struggling with fitness over pre season, specifically the 15/22 interval test. Everytime I start running on a track I get about 2 laps round and both calves tighten up to point I'm struggling to walk. It's the exact same location on both calves each time. Has anyone else suffered...

    failed by a fraction!

Exactly this! It irritates me when people moan about no MCS or cards. There's so much within our control that can bump up marks without relying on cards and MCS. Over my 4 observations last season I had 3 MCS. 2 of these were simple decisions that earned me no extra credit. I got promoted...

    L3 Induction - Warwick

I thought it was poor, waste of time. Nobody has got to L3 without knowing how to manage a ceremonial free kick or when/when not to play advantage. More training on 4th man duties, comms and the subs board would be far better. I've been 4th man twice in my career... once in a grassroots cup...

Anyone headed to Warwick this weekend for the L3 induction day? I'll be there tonight and tomorrow night. If anyone else is around and fancies a beer!
