I give up with what VAR are doing at this World Cup.

One minute we're told they are having very minimal input.
In the England game, Kane was denied a penalty shout.
Now they've given a penalty here even after Belgium had a fantastic chance to score following that supposed foul.

The penalty given was as much as a (no) foul for me as was the push by Tielemans on the back of a defender just before scoring Belgium second goal.

I'd be really looking forward to FIFA releasing their VAR stats after the tournament.

Also, where did he get an extra 12 minutes from? That is literally like another half of extra time. That penalty incident was very close to full time and scored 4-5 mins later.
Cant tell me he had 7-8 mins stoppage in rest of half

I don’t think he went over by that much. Think the penalty incident was around 117-118 mins, and was scored in the 124th, meaning he’s gotta realistically play to 127 before accounting for any other injuries. But yeah it did seem a little excessive.

It's nine minutes between play being stopped and kick-off following the penalty (117 to 126). Four minutes were put up on the board at 120, so there was at least one minute added already before the VAR check etc. Few seconds here and there between 126 and 130, and over a minute sorting out Senegal's free kick right at the end. Full time whistle goes at 131:40. Bang on by my reckoning.

Makes no odds if it was a PK or not
What matters is it was two for the price of one
OGSO + PK
OGSO goes in, they ain't coming back to the PK
Game is fooked
Senegal should've walked off imho. Has it ever happened before!?

Although I can absolutely see where you are coming from the worse thing in the world to do is to walk off. The repercussions for them is likely to have been bad and for what - forefit the game etc.

When he says, "Has it ever happened before!?" I think he's referring to this.

Morocco declared 3-0 winners after appeal is upheld.
Senegal’s players walked off pitch over penalty call.

Oh yes - Senegal have history. That was the game I was trying to remember at the time I read the original comment from Big 😸but I was out with my wife so couldn’t do any digging at the time (would have at least got a dirty look & probably much worse 😆)! I will have to take on board that Big Cat also possesses a dry sense of humour - don’t often see it (or has just passed me by until now).

Well the video clearly showed Tielemans leg being kicked from behind as he moved towards the cross so correct decision for me.
Pleased to see Senegal go out. All those histrionics, surrounding the ref and play-acting. Good riddance.
