We are going to get into semantics about the difference between the referee stopping play and the referee delaying the restart of play to ask the player whether they need the physio

Any other it requires the physio to enter.

Appreciating that our regular IFAB contact is via @JamesL I saw that he is busy sorting @RefereeX out, so I e-mailed IFAB directly with a LOTG question.
The reference to 20-25 seconds when deciding whether a player can remain on the f. o. p. after being injured in a caution/dismissal offence has been removed from the law, but was still in the guidance for match officials.
IFAB have confirmed that the guidance should have been removed, and will be taken out in the next issue.

I don't think it ever appeared in law. It was always in the guidance notes.
Im assuming the exception for players to remain on field of play still exists so surely there still needs to be some guidance on that? Or do I really need to stop posting and RTFL?

Law 5 wording has been changed by the removal of the requirement for a quick assessment, so now there is no time limit.
