What are peoples thoughts on the additional time of 3 mins in the 2nd period, when there was plenty of timewasting and about 6 substitutions ?
Added time is quite clearly laid out now to be accounted for specific things.
I hope I'm not wrong in saying this, but those things are:
Actual time taken for substitutions
Actual time taken for goal celebrations minus 30 seconds. (so if the goal celebration lasted 45 seconds, 15 seconds would be added.
Actual time taken for a red card.
Actual time taken for an on field injury assessment by a physio.
'other time taken for deliberate time wasting'.
Other stoppages aren't added.

I'm guessing the top 4 were measured excactly, which then leaves the 5th one open to interpretation. Should we being adding an approximate amount for general slow play? Or should we only be adding a very specific amount for a situation which results in us cautioning for delaying the restart?

I think spuddy's point was, why is he asking them to wait for the whistle when it's just a quick free kick, though ? it's taking the advantage away from the attacking team
There was really no advantage there if they were not asked to wait for the whistle. There was a gap in the middle created because he delayed everything which kind of made the defenders to retreat. But the point is a valid point. Why has he asked them to wait for the whistle when there was no need for it. I really can't see a good reason.

Not sure, but it seemed inconsistent with other PL matches
It was a strange game in that I don't remember either physio being on the pitch at any time, very rare that happens. Plus there were no lengthy VAR checks and it is those two things that normally lead to lots of added time. Grealish was moaning about time not being added for the delayed free kicks, but that isn't something that would be added. Given he also complained about Liverpool players going down too easily, which has to be the ultimate in irony, I don't really put much credibility in his comments.

Only one goal in the second half and 5 substitutions across 3 windows, so I can see why it was only 3 minutes

It wasn't relevant here anyway but obviously penalties and prolonged VAR checks/delays are included
