The Ref Stop
I did a comp and until as late as 2017 they submitted handwritten teamsheets in a form booklet with carbon copy papers for three copies.

Most of 20 somthings don't even know what a carbon copy paper is.
2017?! Our local Dog & Duck league still uses those pads! Now try and explain to anyone under 40 how we used to take debit/credit card payments. with a card imprinter...!!!

No idea what this means, but I do remember my Dad paying for his Indian takeaway by cheque and having to show a cheque guarantee card!

I'm old enough to remember working in Toys r us on the tills and it was unusual to be paid in anything other than cash.

You had to swipe the card, get a signature, match it and sometimes would have to ring the bank to get authorisation.

These young'uns don't know they are born

Will always remember the absolute bewilderment of my little brother when he won some competition and he got sent a cheque for £50.

I KNEW I recognised you from somewhere @JamesL! Or should I say… GEOFFREY!!! 😱 ‼️ 🦒

One of these. The shop worker puts the card on it, then a slip of paper over it and swipes it back back and forward to create an imprint of the card details, the customer then signs the slip. That's why credit and debit cards have raised numbers, wouldn't work with the new cards, Chase's don't even have any numbers on them.
