Unfortunately this season, as much as I'm a dyed-in-the-wool Boro fan (and as much as it pains me to say this) 9 out of 10 games I've seen them in have been like watching paint dry. I think it has something to do with the manager? One thing I’ve always said to friends, (and not because I’m a Boro fan) is that I prefer watching championship football than premier league. 9 times out of 10 it’s more of a contest, it’s quicker, it’s more physical and there’s less prima donnas.
I haven’t even bothered going up to the Riverside this season. I live 350 miles away and usually try and do a couple a season but it’s been dire. Infact, the only game I did attend was the cup replay at Newport. That was enough to put me off!Unfortunately this season, as much as I'm a dyed-in-the-wool Boro fan (and as much as it pains me to say this) 9 out of 10 games I've seen them in have been like watching paint dry. It's not really an opinion; it was an error and I didn't criticise him as a referee for making it (I've made probably worse errors and he's in a position I can only dream of getting to). We didn't fail to get promoted because of referees and also I praised that referee for other decisions as I always doDid you not blame the ref in the Brentford game for costing you automatic?
Now you can argue that Bielsa is "praising" the ref following an error, but the error is still your opinion and thus blaming him for costing you potential promotion as a pen and possible goal would have changed the game entirely.
Just pointing out.
Celebrating like they've already won the play offs...
Leeds fans were already celebrating when they’d won the league at Christmas!Celebrating like they've already won the play offs...
Some senseHarsh on Leeds, they done well to get into the position they did and only injuries right at the end have cost them.
.... getting players banned for cheating match officials didn't help either!!!Harsh on Leeds, they done well to get into the position they did and only injuries right at the end have cost them.
Not convinced by that. They brought in Shackleton who was brilliant across 2 legs, Dallas who scored 2 goals from left back and Jack Clarke who’s the best thing since sliced bread over there. If anything it made them stronger on the nightHarsh on Leeds, they done well to get into the position they did and only injuries right at the end have cost them.
To be fair, we’ve had something ridiculous like 50 injuries including our top goalscorer, both keepers, etcNot convinced by that. Edit: I think Clarke came off from the bench actually.
