Leeds v Derby

Yeh, cheer up @alexv only Leeds could finish 6th in a 3 horse race! I bet Bielsa didn’t see that coming!

Great advert though for lower league football, great refereeing too! 😂

The Referee Store
One thing I’ve always said to friends, (and not because I’m a Boro fan) is that I prefer watching championship football than premier league. 9 times out of 10 it’s more of a contest, it’s quicker, it’s more physical and there’s less prima donnas.
Unfortunately this season, as much as I'm a dyed-in-the-wool Boro fan (and as much as it pains me to say this) 9 out of 10 games I've seen them in have been like watching paint dry. I think it has something to do with the manager?

I haven’t even bothered going up to the Riverside this season. I live 350 miles away and usually try and do a couple a season but it’s been dire. Infact, the only game I did attend was the cup replay at Newport. That was enough to put me off!

Pulis will be gone now I should think, attendances are dropping so it’s hitting Gibson where it hurts. His wallet! But in fairness to Pulis, he’s doing a thankless task of trying to balance the books having sold our 3 top performers from last season, and the people above not being able to bring new faces in.

Did you not blame the ref in the Brentford game for costing you automatic?

Now you can argue that Bielsa is "praising" the ref following an error, but the error is still your opinion and thus blaming him for costing you potential promotion as a pen and possible goal would have changed the game entirely.

Just pointing out.
It's not really an opinion; it was an error and I didn't criticise him as a referee for making it (I've made probably worse errors and he's in a position I can only dream of getting to). We didn't fail to get promoted because of referees and also I praised that referee for other decisions as I always do

But you beat them at home, and twice away, 2-0 in the tie!!! Surely Jack Duckworth has to go?

It’s nice to see the good guys prevail, Frank Lampards Derby, spied on by these vagabonds, caught red handed cheating, should have been a points deduction!

And to Sir Chris Wilder, one of our own, Managers Manager of the year, I rest my case. Football was the real winner!

Celebrating like they've already won the play offs...

To be fair, the playoff final isn't until May 27. They have a few days to work the partying out of their systems. I think this is one of those deals where they're going to enjoy themselves for a day or two and then get back at it to prep for the final.

In the States, the common cliche is "We're going to enjoy this tonight, and then we're going to get back to work tomorrow." Sounds like they were doing just that on Wednesday.

There were a few extra drams drunk the other night in Lancaster. A quiet riverside pub awoken by me watching on my phone screaming ‘GTFI’ when the 4th goal went in to 4-5 people clapping and cheering! My ribs are still sore! 😂😂

Harsh on Leeds, they done well to get into the position they did and only injuries right at the end have cost them.
Not convinced by that. They brought in Shackleton who was brilliant across 2 legs, Dallas who scored 2 goals from left back and Jack Clarke who’s the best thing since sliced bread over there. If anything it made them stronger on the night

Edit: I think Clarke came off from the bench actually.

To be fair, we’ve had something ridiculous like 50 injuries including our top goalscorer, both keepers, etc
