I have to ask…. Is anyone using grip socks? Either full-sized grip socks or grip socks with a sock ‘sleeve?’ I’m tempted but didn’t know if it was frowned upon and something only players do!!
Tried it for the first time this season and won't look back. Find it so much more comfortable, and less blisters. Not to mention that the toe area on the Nike socks is awful and only lasts a few months so this solves that problemI have to ask…. Is anyone using grip socks? For £175 a pop I'd want my boots to score goals for me as well as just get me around the pitch and last a while!Have a look at Sokito boots. Italian made, lasted more than a season already, very light and comfortable. And nicely understated in all black. And they do a bit for the environment if you're that way inclined...
As for grip socks - definitely, with a sleeve. I cut off my old ones when they soles got holes in and now wear them with grip socks, which make the Sokitos even more comfortable and no holes in my socks!
I'd be wanting them to blow the whistle as well for that amount. For £175 a pop I'd want my boots to score goals for me as well as just get me around the pitch and last a while!
A lot I have seen allow astro turf trainers, but specifically call out hockey shoes as a no. Seen this sign at a few places down here.@MuffledWarbler Very few 4G venues allow astros to be be worn. In the midlands anyway.
