Oh right.... Am surprised a significant number have chosen to specialize on the line then. Middles yeh, but step 3/4 lines every week wouldn't do it for me. I've stuck with dual-role@Big Cat Dual L4s can be promoted on the line, the change is they can no longer continue as a L4 referee if they accept the promotion to Step 2 assistant.
Also, many on the PL & EFL were all L3 Referees & became specialist AR’s viz Wilks, Hopton, Howson, Nelson, Bartlett, Bennett & more I can’t remember at this moment of time. Main reason being that they have more chance of getting to the top - albeit not as a Referee.Oh right.... Am surprised a significant number have chosen to specialize on the line then. I am third in the AR merit table , but have chosen the referee pathway. Oh wellI don't understand why L4's have to specialize to get promoted on the line. Inevitably, this means loads of dual-role referees who are right at the top of the AR merit table are being completely overlooked. Why not offer them the opportunity to be promoted on the basis that they become Step 2 specialist ARs. I can't make sense of the 'need' to specialize
So that would get you promoted on the line (if you accepted) next season, but not this season just gone?I am third in the AR merit table , but have chosen the referee pathway. Oh well
Probably. Oh well.So that would get you promoted on the line (if you accepted) next season, but not this season just gone?
Duals could be promoted on the line, and continue as a level 4.So that would get you promoted on the line (if you accepted) next season, but not this season just gone?
