That sounds like half the youth football I refereed before all this so it won’t be much change anyway. And when I played in that league a couple of years ago when we did use a changing room it was purely for a “team talk”, so no access to changing rooms for youth football probably isn’t too much of an issue. Amateur adults teams on the other hand tend to use changing rooms more, so it’ll be a big change for them. But it won't be like anything we have seen before, changing rooms will be closed and it will very much be everyone turns up changed.
People are jumping the gun, and friendlies certainly aren't allowed yet.
I've been involved in discussions and I expect grass roots will be allowed to restart in September. But it won't be like anything we have seen before, changing rooms will be closed and it will very much be everyone turns up changed.
Gentle reminder for newer colleagues - if asked to officiate in friendlies, make sure you have re-registered and that the clubs are registered.
Insurances could be invalidated if that is not in place, worrying in these difficult days.
Stay safe.
You can also get fined and/or suspended if the FA find that you are officiating an unsanctioned match.
Kent FA have opened registration for next season yet.
All hands are still on furlough . . .Any news on handball seminars though?
I think they've got one planned that covers what to do if an attacker accidentally handles the ball at a corner on a full moon when the wind is blowing east to west.Any news on handball seminars though?
Yes, we are in the same boat here in Canberra. Re-started this weekend after a few weeks of trial matches being allowed in Queanbeyan (over the state border back into NSW for those who aren't familiar with convict state boundaries)We (NSW' AUS) have had two weeks of friendlies and the second weekend of proper season this weeknd. Victoria is dealing with a second wave right now and as long as it doesn't spill over the border we should be ok (there have been some signs it may already have). England is I think about 4-6 weeks behind us. But watch out for a second wave.
