Very interesting one with VAR… ‘natural coming together’. I’m going to say that I feel that WHU are lucky here, as it is late contact…

34th min (approx)

Thoughts?

I’m no Leeds fan by any stretch of the imagination - as someone who has a season ticket for Man United and Huddersfield Town, but very surprised at that decision

I am in agreement - felt that the contact was more than a coming together, more of a late and slightly reckless challenge.

Football clearly doesn't want these sorts of fouls penalised

Any other situation on the pitch and the free kick gets given without a 2nd thought, and a yellow too

They are very rarely given once the shot has been got away unless SFP. Everyone in football says they want consistency, and they are certainly consistent with their approach to these types of incidents.

Another foul which deserves more - exactly the scenario a sin bin should be used for

Absolutely agree. Was a nasty foul too, but didn't meet the threshold for RC. But no intent to play the ball.

Think that goal being allowed is farcical. (Neutral). If you make contact with your foot on a defender's head that high, you are asking for trouble.

I don't think it's farcical, but if the defender goes down holding his head it gets ruled out

I’m not a happy Leeds fan here 😂 Surely a high boot and was surprised with 11 mins

I guarantee if those decisions were given against the hammers, social media would be flooded with comments

I thought 11 (in this day and age) was generous but acceptable

2 goals were scored before the 7th mind
