The Ref Stop

Whats the best watch?

I also use a nike+ Tom Tom watch on the other arm to track my mileage and where I've covered on the pitch too.

The Ref Stop
Original poster wanted a cheap "starter" watch and I've always used a Timex Ironman which I've had for years, only on 2nd or 3rd battery.

At the start of your "career" I find a "normal" wtach is fine as back up if it has the "ring" round outside marking minutes.

I got a timex made one of those for £2 at boot sale about 5/6 years ago, again only on 2nd/3rd battery and neither has ever let me down - total outlay for two watches about £30 - £35!
