Level 7 Referee
Hi, im a level 7 referee and not on core but interested in trying to get on and just wondering, if you had to go to university and transfer to a different fa, would you still be able to carry on with core providing youre able to attend the meetings and fixtures arranged for you? or would something be arranged with the other cfa or worse would you be kicked off? thanks in advance

If you are in core you would get transferred to a new region of you moved region boundary. If not your parent county would need to nominate you. If you aren't in now then you won't be in until next season, at least as its a seasonal program

for my county its different, in regards to how long its for, when the application period is and the name of it. our deadline for application is end of this month i believe, runs for 2 seasons and is called match officials academy programme (MOAP), not sure why its different or if this is just a completely different scheme but when id asked about core i was told about moap instead

If it is a county core group then you may be accepted but they will not be able to nominate you for a different county core group based on where your uni is.

James was referring to the National group which covers the whole country and is much easier to shift people around.

There is National FA CORE (seasonal program, selection for 26/27 already confirmed) and then most county FAs will have their own smaller version of the program, usually called county CORE but I would guess your county calls it MOAP.
Depending how far away from home you're likely to be operating as a referee, it may make it tricky for you to get the coaching visits if your county's MOAP offers coaches, but if you could attend the meetings still I don't see why you would be excluded. Best to speak to your RDO. Or maybe enquire with your university county's RDO what program they offer and how to get on to that.
