Not sure if this has been spoken about before on here, but what is the consequence for violent conduct between teammates?

Had this at the weekend and was forced to abandon the match.

Dismiss those responsible and only continue if you feel it is safe to do so.

Just in case your question was more about whether VC actually applies here, the answer is that yes, it does.

Law 12 states:

Violent conduct is when a player uses or attempts to use excessive force or brutality against an opponent when not challenging for the ball, or against a team-mate ...

And don't forget that should a player be guilty of VC against a team mate while the ball is in play, the correct restart is a DFK or penalty kick.
