They are administered the same way as you would any other yellow card with the addition of sending them to the bin and let player/replacement back on after 10 minutes if applicable according to the chart below.
1. Stop play if not already stopped.
2. Given sin-bin is for dissent, manage situation to calm things down if you have to
3. Isolate player and get player details. My case is shirt number only but you would probably need name too.
4. Show player the yellow card and point to the sin bin area with both hands.
5. Write player details AND time of game in your notebook as you would with any caution only the code is different. Make a mental note of the time.
6. In cases where player/replacement is allowed back on (chart below), when 10 minutes have passed (plus any stoppage time if you don't stop your watch for stoppages), allow the player/replacement back on. This can be done when ball is in play.
In practice you won't have more than two players in the bin at once. I have had two in the bin only once in a whole season. Recording of time in your book allows you to track the ten minutes.
