Good Day all.
My name is Kevin Houghton, from Preston, Lancs - founder and inventor of RefStuff - Technology that you can count on.
I have invented a range of new and innovative sports products for use worldwide by Referees, Teachers and Sports Coaches.
My vision and goals are to innovate new technology and offer alternatives to equipment currently used whilst also improving the quality of other items currently available. My aim is to see my products readily available to referees all around the world.

The first product the RefScorer will be available to purchase from mid July and will be closely followed by the RefSwallet and RefSgame.

The game changer will be the RefScorer digital - a new design of RefSwatch with a patent pending application granted for the USP and IP of the concept of innovation of the features of the programming inside the watch.

Ok, watched the video, suppose it depends on league to league, but, I think every league I referee in needs goalscorer and time, rendering your product as pointless, I am pretty sure I can keep a mental note of goals scored if needed but I would be lost without writing down scorer and time, and indeed in one of the leagues I do, you need to mark if a goal is scored from a pk.
 
My leagues don't require me to report anything more than the result.

However, I don't see anything wrong with getting my notebook out and marking the the scorers number.

I can see it's application in tournaments and things like that though
 
The digital version is interesting but I would love to see the research, or hear some validation, about the demand for this - I just don't see any demand for the score - the time, yes, the score, no...

Even with a touch screen watch where I am able to input all match data (i.e. goal scorers and cards, even subs) I still wouldn't be interested in the score... who actually wants this?
 
Solved a problem that doesn't exist.

What happens when you reach the limit of the dial ? Park games can often see games where one side scores 15+goals... did one myself that finished 19-1. Would I need 2 scorers ????

To answer the 'high scoring games' comment - it is to be assumed that when the dial/clicker goes past 9 that 0 is recognised as 10 and so on, and it again would be assumed that this would be remembered by the Ref.
Different county's, regions, associations, societies and countries go by different directives so for every 1 person that is still required to record the actual minute when a goal is scored, there will be another person that is not required to do this.
Either way, the RefScorer is a neat bit of kit which offers something different and alternative to help and assist in your management of matches.

Regarding the digital version - these features and functions do not currently exist in any other watch available and we have a patent pending on the technology.
The recording of cautions, dismissals and to some extent the substitutions still needs to be a manual proceedure so we don't believe in building this feature into the watch or an app, and there are already app based products out there at the moment like the wonderful RefSix.

Well done for putting this together... you have rather sidestepped my question - do you have any evidence that refs/others want a score counter?

We have conducted extensive market research when demonstrating and showcasing our products up and down the UK at various Referee Societies and County FA's, not to mention over 10,000 advance sales of just the RefScorer product alone, with the other products in development and aim to be released by the end of the year.
We have also established sales partner distribution agreements with several companies and will be available in 15 countries at launch later this month.
Time will tell which products are more successful than the rest but I think that these facts alone say that there is certainly demand and interest for the products.
They won't suit everyone, as everyone has an opinion and personal choice, but our aim is to offer different technology and alternatives to products currently available and to improve upon others.
If a product (any product) is never produced, developed or brought out - the constomer will never have their choice to view, purchase or refuse, and we'd all stand still whilst wondering what could've been #DareToDream
