The Ref Stop

Ref Support UK

Wholeheartedly disagree with this.

The feelings of one person, no disrespect, is not cause to shut a whole organisation down. I don't wish to invalidate your feelings, it's not for me to tell you how to feel, however, if 1 person has the power to shut an organisation down because they feel a certain way the world would come to a halt and we may as well scrap the government right now.
No not feelings but safety yes and that is the point they make the situation feel unsafe.

Side note scrapping the government currently not a terrible idea 😉

I’d accept 100 tweets calling players cheats or defending bad decisions if refsupport helped even one referee each year who is a victim of abuse or assault. As it stands they help a lot more than one.

Feel unsafe = feelings.

They are not making it unsafe. Have you any example where the actions/posts/words of refsupport have directly had an impact on a matter of safety?
Yes my situation on Saturday a reference to them was used by the club and inflamed the situation it is currently under investigation by CFA so won’t go into detail.

It wasn’t just sighting mate made mention directly of them and something they caused.
Sure, but I don’t blame Michael Oliver when one of his mistakes is thrown in my face mid game. Because next week it’ll be whatever new referee moment is going around Twitter, sometimes it’s RSUK and 9/10 times the referee is correct but players and coaches just don’t understand.

A bit harsh (but I don’t know the facts and nor should I for the reason you previously mentioned) & that’s like saying the same thing as the injured player said in the ambulance from your first posted attachment earlier. It was not the Referee who placed the injury upon the players leg & Ref Support were not even at your game. The club concerned have a duty of care towards any official who are at their ground (& when playing away) & should not be holding this against you from something they have read/seen from anywhere eg Ref Support (though as we often know these days, easier said than done).

As I say the club actually kind of had a point but as it’s linked to a incident prior I can’t elaborate but this account has certainly got some responsibility.

I think the fact clubs asking about this account concerns me more than anything as him abusing people creates a attitude of us vs them.
I don't disagree that it reinforces the us vs them attitude, but then I'm not the one that's supporting referees who've been badly abused or assaulted, and maybe I'd take a different view if I was.
Disagree there posts are one of the few things which make me fear for my safety as a referee if they make even one referee feel this way that’s reason to shut them down.
I'm surprised RefSupport's posts make you feel unsafe, when on another thread you stated that you wouldn't agree, couldn't support and wouldn't join in if referees in your area chose to withdrew their services in response to participant behaviour/assaults!

I said they make me feel unsafe not that they stop me refereeing.

@southernerinthenorthstill I think some people are struggling to empathise with you.

You did openly say you would undermine referees who have been assaulted by picking up games to show that not all referees stand together.

Whilst simultaneously saying that referees should stand together and bring down Referee Support as you feel unsafe and you will tell us why you have been made to feel unsafe once it is fine to do so. But all we can know right now is RFUK are definitely to blame as the "club" mentioned them and were "well aware".

So instead of blaming the individual(s) who have created an in-person incident directly involving you. You are blaming a Facebook/twitter page.

I will add, that even though you mentioned that you would actively sabotage efforts by the referee community to offer better support over incidents that might be similar to the one you faced. I hope you are okay and are receiving support.
