The Ref Stop

Real Grassroot Footage

Asking the experienced heads (not excluding inexperienced heads), in another one of his videos a player is adamant that there is a foul throw because the ball is spinning upon release, so adamant that he argues himself into a position where I would be booking for dissent.

I can't find anything in the book that says a ball can't spin from a throw in and pretty sure Rory Delap was a "spinner" of the ball.

(found my answer... I think - https://refchat.co.uk/threads/throw-in-spinning-the-ball.14233/)

I watched that video.

The player is trying to articulate if the ball is spinning a lot there is a chance the thrower has launched it using one hand.

Personally I would give a very quick one-way explanation to the player. "As long as he spins it behind his head with two hands it is legal mate"

If he says anything else I'd just say we can talk about it at half/full time.

If he shouts about it again during the game I'd just shout "number 4, as discussed not a foul throw"

But to sin bin a player here when they clearly are just misinformed is a bit excessive. If they kept shouting I would then start some kind of stepped approach towards sin bin.

I agree stepped approach may be more useful on that one!
