Looks clear to me the ball deflects upwards just after it passes the top of the shoulder of the attacker.

Would be interested to see the other angles.

SAOT would be able to see if there was a deflection or not although I'm not sure if would be refined enough to say if the last touch was off the attacker or defender

In this latest case the defender ran to challenge for the ball and jumped at the attacker and the ball. That's a deliberate action IMHO.

Which is exactly what I’d have thought were it not for the comments on the other thread from more experienced/higher level refs than me, as the other one looked obviously deliberate play to me.
