Postponing a game due to the temperature

Then why is it being discussed on a thread about whether you postpone a match due to extreme temperatures?
But it absolutely is
The only thing that matters is what is in the laws of the game now. Discussing old laws might be interesting, but it's pure academic and has no relevance to todays refereeing.
I didn't introduce it and you chose to respond to it........
No, it's all about how we got to where we are now, past references are always important as it allows us to consider the correct meaning of the revision.
Previous versions of statute may be amended even rescinded but the actual wording is retained for reference....

The Referee Store
Only from an academic view point.

A new referee coming on here asking a question about hand ball isn't going to get any value from people discussing the old wording of the law, because that wording no longer applies and therefore is irrelevant to them, unless they're going to hop in their Delorean and nip back to 2017 to referee a game.

We can pontificate all day about the new hand ball Law on here but come next season 99.999% of players are calling you a £&@ in implementing them to the new edict. Laws take months / years to become common knowledge. How many centre halves still are there with their arms in the air if someone is behind them??
