New Nike kit

Has anyone tried the new Nike shirts? The pictures look like the sleeves are pretty short, which I hope is true - I've never liked the really long sleeves, especially when you don't have a receiver on your arm. I liked the previous Nike kit, but felt the body was slim fit but the sleeves weren't.

I've got the new shorts, and I think they feel a bit cheaper in quality but I do prefer them. They feel more like football shorts and fit a lot nicer imo

I’m weighing up getting (now purchasing opposed to receiving) a new badged kit… also looking at the new Nike stuff.

Would welcome views on how it fits, sizing etc etc ahead of a purchase!

The shorts and socks (very unfortunately) look the same as previous so just buy the new shirt and 10 pairs of socks.
New shorts are definitely different. They're more like a player's shorts in texture and fit. Pockets seem deeper too, which is nice but takes getting used to. White tick instead of grey too, so it actually matches the shirt, unlike the previous shorts, which were clearly designed to match the shirt before last.

I wore mine for the first time at a corporate game recently. Much better fit on the arms but I would recommend going a size up for the slightly larger folks as a medium was quite tight on me even after cutting down recently.

Shorts are baggy around the leg but i would say more comfortable overall

Being baggy around the leg might allow me to go back to a medium. I had a medium in the Referee I shorts but the Referee II shorts I ordered a medium and they were almost skin tight around the legs so I had to change to large. (I'm probably only a 30 inch waste, but chunky thighs / quads)

Got both the new shirt and shorts. The shirt fits exactly the same as the 22-26 kit for me, but the shorts are huge compared the old ones. Had to send back and size down in the shorts, and even in the size down I'm still having to tie the waistband so it holds in place. Big downgrade from before imo

The shorts fit about the same as all the previous Nike ones for me. The material does feel flimsier, but being lighter they also feel better when you're running in them. The zips on the side pockets don't particularly bother me, I probably won't use them much as the pockets seem about as deep as previous so stuff falling out shouldn't be an issue. The only thing I don't like is the back pocket - the opening is higher up compared to previous shorts and I find it awkward getting into it.

I like the zipped pockets as I finally don’t have to worry about my coin flying out of my breast pockets!

Agree about the back pocket taking getting used to. The Velcro is stronger as well so it’s not as easy to swiftly take out a card. Mind you, I got good practice as I had a straight red in my first game wearing them

Even though not football related, I ran to the gym and did a workout with the new shorts and were really comfortable for that so no worries about being tight or restrictive

If you like wearing a sweatband while reffing, you can find some cheap ones on Amazon that have a zip pocket in them which I find perfect for holding the coin.

My red may be finding another home while wearing these ones!
