Hi everyone,😀

I’ve recently added a new feature to the English version of Soccer Laws Dojo called “What’s the Call?”.

On the site there are several study modes available (as you can see in the screenshot),
but the new feature is the one with the orange button“What’s the Call?”.

It’s based on real match situations and designed as a quick way to test your knowledge of the Laws of the Game.
Each case comes with a short explanation, so even beginners can follow along without worrying about getting lost.

I’d be really interested to hear what you think about this kind of approach.
Do you find case-based questions helpful for study and discussion?

Here’s the link if you’d like to take a look:

This is a great inititive. I tried a few questions . My feedback is to form your questions (and selected amswers) so that there is no ambiguity. I understand some of these issues maybe due to translation.

Something else if you can help it. I found the advertisements and promotions to be a little too excessive.

Here are the ones I have from the first 5 I tried.

In a penalty kick, immediately after the ball is kicked and hits the goalpost, the ball becomes defective. What is the appropriate action for the referee in this situation?

Should read

In a penalty kick, the ball is kicked and hits the goalpost. The ball becomes defective immeduately after hitting the goal post. What is the appropriate action for the referee in this situation?

As it reads now it can be interpreted it became detefective after the kick but before hitting goal post.
---------

Ensure the player leaves the field and stop the bleeding.

Should read

Ensure the player leaves the field and may only return after the bleeding has stopped.

It is not up to the referee to ensure the player stops the bleeding. But the referee must ensure the player can't return if bleeding is not stopped.

----------

Which of the following injury situations is NOT permitted to receive treatment on the field?

Should read

Which of the following injury situations, the player is NOT required to leave the field of play?

Exceptions to the requirements for injury procedure is for leaving the field of play and not for treatment.

Thanks so much for trying it so quickly! Really appreciate it.

And thank you for the detailed advice on the sentences — you’re right, some of them are a bit strange. I’ll fix and update them.

Also, I’ll cut down on the ads a bit 😅

Oops, that’s on me!
Clearly my “copy & paste referee” missed a foul there 😅
