So Lee Mason who made that blunder with the disallowed Arsenal goal has now been sacked by the PGMOL, and the Key Match Incident Panel admitted that that decision was "incorrect". Why did so many on here defend the decision back at the time? Are we guilty of herd mentality and just feel the need to defend "one of our own" even when an obvious mistake is being made?

Because an incorrect intervention is different from an incorrect decision. You can intervene wrongly even on a wrong decision if the criteria for intervention are not met, and a lot of people (including in this thread) said that was the case as it was a subjective foul that some would've given, and some wouldn't.

Resurrecting a 5 month old topic just to demonstrate how wronged your beloved Arsenal have been simply isn't acceptable. Consider this a warning, the next time the "fan nonsense" warning category will be used and you'll be getting a break.
