Dowd actually issued 2 yellow cards... First for dissent and second for well dissent again !! Wasnt foul and abusive from what shola said to me, thats why he can't appeal itas it was 2 yellows not a straight red :P
 
I can see why being able to appeal a decision is good, because if a ref sees it wrong and a player gets sent off then they should be able to be overturned but now whenever there is a straight red, almost all top flight teams and practically appealing as soon as it has happened, to try and get their players off the charge and undermine the referees who are doing a great job refereeing in the premier league which is a difficult league to ref in.

Dowd's had the championship play-off final, had the year Swans went up so surely he won't get another?
