Rather than hijack another recent thread I will start a new one to hopefully generate a bit of healthy discussion based on another near impossible but interesting scenario.

KO: Team A starts with 8 players.
20th: player X from team A asks to come off injured and you allow it
28th: Team B scores
29th: Team A scores (from kick off :) )
35th: Player X asks to come back on at a stoppage. You realize team A only has 6 players on the field (before X is back on). Your AR tells you player Y from Team A came off the field in 25th minute and he didn't think it is important to tell you.

What now?

Panic!!!
 
A) Slap the sh*t out of the AR for not telling you at the time.
B) Laugh at Team B for only scoring once in 35 minutes against a team with 8, 7, and then 6 players.
C) As X is coming back on they'll be up to 7 again, so I'd allow the game to continue (and obviously a report post-match)
D) Find a reason to sin bin or send off a player from Team A two minutes later - match abandoned and I get to go home.

I think I'd allow the match to continue. Ultimately it's team A's fault and they were the team disadvantaged by only having 6.
Obviously you'd report post match.
