Thanks thought it might be the case, most of our leagues around us aren’t starting until 12/13th September although a couple with ARs a few weeks before that so might try and get them in first
Nothing wrong contacting your appointments officer to tell him you’ve re-registered for the new season etc etc & that you are available for the early games of the season etc (though I would suggest you are not overly pushy).
yes, you absolutely can - I would check with your RDO as potentially varies by county. I had a mid season friendly between christmas and new year during the "break" that was used for 7-6 promotion with no issues.
I wouldn't say this with absolute certainty, but I'm at least 80% sure that if your county allowed that, they were kind of wrong to do so by the FA's guidelines regarding it.
the RPP pack just says officiate 25 games in the middle. In the end I officiated vastly more, but yeah as you say if i'm wrong then best to check i'm sure every county does things maybe they're not supposed to.. just thinking back as I qualified at this point last year i was told pre-season friendlies counted towards my first 5 which they did as well and that was across 2 counties
As I understand it, friendlies are absolutely correct to count towards the 5 games for qualification but that is as far as they can be used. I may well be wrong however, but yes, best to check
County FA's have discretion on this point, so would be wise to ask your RDO.
