The Ref Stop

England Vs Congo

Maybe the referee thought Kane didn't dive but he instigated the contact or he saw Kane kicked the ground which made him fall hence no yellow card, he wasn't trying to deceive the referee by a true dive with no contact

It's one of those if the ref gives the pen I doubt VAR would intervene but the ref saw it clearly and I think he made the right decision personally.

He was making diving gestures with his hands

It’s one of those where you collect your fee after the game and go home…..

If you have to hurdle the goalkeepers arm or side step it then you aren't getting going to catch the ball
My local refchat whatsapp group 33 pen, 1 undecided, 33 non-pen
So it's not a mistake by the ref. Kane knew he was going down before he got there. That's my problemo

On Kane's penalty, I shall face the warth of your swords.

The reason VAR didnt reffer it was because he was on his way down befor any contact was made.

Jacqui Oatley reporting VAR recommended a review for a penalty, and the referee decided not to initiate it
I’m usually sceptical of this sort of commentary but if that’s verified he’s definitely done for this tournament. By all means review and stick with decision but to wave away when recommended? That’s a major breach of protocols

Massive underdogs against Mexico.

Surely Rashford's last start for England.

Actually thought the referee was generally good, mannerisms a bit off putting.

Collina has kinda already cut off the YC for waving the card thing at the last world cup IIRC he came out and said something along the lines of “international language” …

Rashford has been awful for 150 minutes.
No idea how he keeps getting managers to play him
