Ball just out of play, Rice taken out by late tackle just after.

Would've said the whole of the ball wasn't out based on previous ones, but presumably indicated out by the technology

Similar to Scotland im guessing.

Im more shocked that he insinuating a dive and doesnt caution Kane for simulation nor does he caution Mbemba for waving imaginary card

Did he just pause the game for keeper down when england have an attacking throw in and then 10 seconds later blows for half time without restart.

Kane hasn't helped with the way he went down. I think it is a penalty, but the way they have done VAR in this tournament (except for contact on keepers) there's no way VAR would be getting involved.

The six additional minutes had already been played when the ball went out - I'd presume he was (quite rightly) paying more attention to the goalkeeper being down than looking at his watch, then blew for h/t on realising the time.

The problem is Kane has given the VAR a get out to say it's not obvious because it's not a natural fall. It should have definitely been a penalty though. And the ref making a simulation gesture and not cautioning Kane is very weak.

He's a cheat. He trips himself up with only one thing in mind. If he wasn't so focused on cheating, he has an empty net
Lack of a caution is the problem. As it was for Mbemba furiously waving the imaginary card. Is it any surprise they behave the way they do?

For me , all the forensic reviews of the Kane incident don’t change my initial thought that it looked like a penalty, smelt like a penalty and was a penalty even with the higher threshold applied to decisions in the penalty area.

No VAR review was astonishing

Controversial opinion time:

Social media: “ Why’s Jordan Henderson in the squad?”

These performances are why Jordan Henderson is in the squad. He brings that tightness, discipline and assuredness that stops the centre halves wandering off like they did for the goal. Or at least gets in there, bails them out then bawls them out.

But yeah, CDMs are about tackles and starting attacks.

Cadbury Dairy Milks would put up more resistance. At least they’re oily now and hard to keep a hold of.

Failure to do the easier thing of sticking it into an empty net means he deserved nowt and he got nowt.
I have zero sympathy
