That's where the Polar V800 comes into its own, as you can change the GPS sampling rate to as low as 1 second so it is incredibly accurate. If I run around a track hugging the inside perimeter then it is always very close to 400 metres. And even on that 1 second sampling rate the advertised battery life is 13 hours of continuous training.
Didn't know that about the sampling rate - that is cunning.

For reference, I am pretty confident about the Garmin accuracy (forerunner 220).
...except now Photobucket is dead I have no obvious way of uploading an example run-over-satellite-pitch example - argh. Suffice to say, a lot of zig zag lines and easy to remember match moments from positions on the field. The playback of the run also seems pretty faithful. 10-15% deviation... probably...
